Description

A card game with only a few simple rules that is heavily inspired by the real-world game The Game but adapted for mobile. The deck consists of 98 cards labeled 2 to 99. The goal is to get rid of all of the cards in the deck. You do this by playing cards on one of four stacks. Each stack has a direction, meaning that only cards that have a higher or lower numerical value than the top card may be played.

This mobile adaption keeps track of highscores and gives you the ability to share card decks with others in order to compare your skills. It also offers two different styles of cards, a classic one and one inspired by the planets of the solar system.

History

After spending way too long in a local book store while shopping for a christmas gift for my mother I finally found a board game I was happy with and was waiting in line at the counter. There were some shelfs with promotional stuff such as postcards and smaller games which I was looking at while waiting. There also were some different card games that caught my attention, one of those was The Game. Since it did not cost too much and looked interesting I could not resist and bought it as well.

The game, in which you play together with your teammates in order to beat the game itself, turned out to be great fun and really addicting! Due to the nature of the game, it can also be played alone. However handling the four stacks of cards is not what you would call convenient if you are just out for a quick game. So I got the idea for a mobile adaption, and that is what Stack Them is.
